Outsourcing logistics and storage to 3PLogistiikka
Outsourcing to 3PLogistiikka is straightforward. Logistics cooperation is initiated with an onboarding phase, where 3PL carefully reviews the agreed operational production issues with you. The list includes e.g., essential dates, product transfer details and system integration issues. During the onboarding phase, the customer's logistics personnel are trained in the use of the Ongoing WMS warehouse management system, and once the products have been transferred to the 3PL's warehouse, the operational production of warehouse logistics is started according to the agreed schedule.
Inbound product batches
When the product batch arrives at the warehouse, 3PLogistiikka checks the quantity and condition of the products. Upon receipt, the products are updated in the warehouse management system, Ongoing WMS, through which you can monitor the status of the goods in real time. After inspection and updating, the products are then placed in the agreed storage locations.
Storage
3PL's logistics centers have a storage solution for nearly all sizes of products, as the warehouses include small goods shelves, pallet shelves and free bulk goods space. Almost all of the spaces in our logistics centers are temperature-controlled. Furthermore, the logistics centers at Sipoo and Turku have permits for the storage of food and tax-free products. 3PL's logistics centers can serve as a company's main warehouse, short-term interim storage, production buffer storage or seasonal storage.
Outbound orders
The products included in an outbound order are picked from the storage locations and packed in the customer's own shipping materials or those provided by 3PL. When the shipment is ready, it is transferred to await transportation arranged by either the customer or 3PL. Products are picked up by transport companies daily or according to agreement.
Additional services
When storing and packaging your product is not enough, 3PL can arrange additional services according to your needs. Services typically include assembling products for sale, various installation services or bundling products. With the help of the 3PL's own freight agreements, transportation can be arranged cost-effectively both domestically and internationally.
